Agapanthus - Lily of the Nile

Agapanthus is a perennial plants with bell-shaped vibrant flowers. They are native to South Africa and do well in zones 7-10. They tend to bloom for up to six months, from early summer until fall in shades of blue, pink, purple, and white often with a darker center stripe on each petal.

Allamanda

Allamanda bush grows to 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide, with a trumpet shaped flower and requires very little maintenance.

A very attractive slower growing shrub, that is easy to control and very to maintain. Great for almost any environment.

Areca Palm

Areca Palms are great for inexpensive screening. A good choice for a natural look and for blocking unwanted views. Grows 20 feet tall and 8 feet wide.

Bald Cypress

The bald cypress is a deciduous conifer tree. It is covered with brown or gray bark with long fiber-like or scaly ridges that peel off in strips. Cones are made up of several four-angled, flattened scales.

Bird of Paradise, orange

Bird of paradise is a dramatic plant with distinctive iridescent orange and midnight blue flowers that resemble an exotic bird peeking out from the broad leaves in autumn, winter and spring.

Bird of Paradise, white

A very large plant becoming 30 feet (9m) tall in the wild. As a young plant the long, paddle-shaped leaves on heavy stalks make a handsome green specimen. If big enough to flower, the inflorescence is almost woody with blue and white flowers produced in succession from a heavy boat-shaped spathe.

Blue Daze

Blue Daze thrives in garden hotspots that threaten less-hardy plants. It grows and blooms best in full sun, and produces fewer flowers in areas that are too shady. Blue Daze tolerates salty conditions, which make it a good option for coastal gardens. Plants grow 9-18 inches tall and spread up to 36 inches wide.

Blueberry Flax Lily

Blueberry flax grows about 2 feet tall in full sun to part shade. It's a moderate grower that does fine anywhere in South Florida.

Boston Fern

Boston fern is a species of fern that is native to America. This evergreen plant can reach as high as 16–35 in, and in extreme cases up to4 ft 11 in.

Bottlebrush, Red Cluster

This is a vigorous growing rounded evergreen shrub, with pinkish colored new growth and producing masses of crimson red bottlebrush-like blooms in spring and fall. Bottlebrush perform best in full sun in a well-drained soil.This is a vigorous growing selection.

Bougainvillea

Available in a variety of colors from magenta to orange, this wonderful plant from the Amazon rain forest presents its blooms all year long.

Butterfly Bush

Butterfly bush is the perfect foundation plant for a butterfly garden. The larger cultivars should be placed behind other shrubs and blooming annuals and perennials. Dark flowered varieties show up quite well against a light background.

California Bush Daisy

This wonderful tropical shrub had green, fuzzy, fernlike foliage overflowing with cheerful daisy-like blossoms. It is available in a tree-form standard which looks terrific in a container with purple or pink trailing annuals planted beneath it.

Cape Honeysuckle

Cape Honeysuckle, a tropical family of woody, flowering plants, thrives in tropical climates, and has a limited range in the United States. The bright orange flowers attract hummingbirds, making them welcome additions in southern gardens.

Cardboard Palm

The plant has a short, sometimes subterranean trunk, usually marked with scars from old leaf bases. It grows very slowly when young, but its growth accelerates after the trunk matures. Including the leaves, the whole plant typically grows to 3.5 feet tall with a width of about 6.5 feet. This plant is easy to care for and grows best in moist, well-drained soil. They do well in full sun or shade, but not in constant deep shade. They are fairly salt- and drought-tolerant but should be protected from extreme cold.

Christmas Palm

One of the most popular palms for residential use because of its attractive appearance and small size. Grows 15 feet tall and 8 feet wide.

Coconut Palm

The coconut palm thrives on sandy soils and is highly tolerant of salinity. It prefers areas with abundant sunlight and regular rainfall (59–98 in annually), which makes colonizing shorelines of the tropics relatively straightforward. Coconuts also need high humidity (at least 70–80%) for optimum growth.

Cordgrass

Cordgrass is an under-appreciated under-used ornamental landscape plant. It can be grown at the water's edge or in high and dry situations. Use it alone or massed in groups in large landscapes. The whole plant is brownish-green: more green in the summer, more brown in the winter.

Crape Myrtle

The flowery Crape Myrtle can be found along the highways in the southern portions of the united states. Very easy to maintain.

Crinum Lily

The Crinum Lily is a spectacularly huge lily. It grows rapidly to over 5' high with 5' long sword to strap shaped leaves. The plant is native to the tropics and subtropics, some species are native to Florida. Of the family Amaryllidaceae it is cultivated for its beautiful, fragrant flowers, and enormous size.

Croton, Petra

The Croton Petra is very colorful and does well in shade, sun, wind or salt with little care. A great addition to any landscape in any location.

Crossandra

This tropical perennial will grow up to 3 feet tall, with glossy, textured leaves that are oval-shaped and can grow up to 5 inches long.

Crown of Thorns

This is a very highly requested plant. It blooms constantly, lasts 10 years or more and requires very little care and maintenance.

Drake Elm

Known for its adaptability and ease, the Drake Elm Tree boasts a moderately fast but manageable growth rate, stunning shape and nearly-evergreen foliage.

Duranta, gold mound

Its leaves are tooth like on a thorny stem. It produces lavender colored flowers repeatedly and grows exceptionally well in humid climates.

East Palatka Holly

East Palatka holly grows best in acidic, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Although the best fruit production occurs in full sun, these plants do well with some afternoon shade in hot summer climates. You should site the plant where it can be protected from cold winter winds and where the soil is well drained. Prune in winter to maintain the desired size, although keep in mind that the plant flowers on new growth.

English Ivy is a self clinging climber or trailer with deep green 5 lobed leaves. Tolerates a variety of conditions.

This plant, native to the American subtropics and tropics, is a favorite in many gardens for its resilience and year-round beauty.
